Summer Hours
We are open regular hours during the July and August. No consignments are accepted during the month of July. You may, however, open a consignment account during July. Consignments will resume in August.
Hours of Operation
We are open 9AM to 2PM on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and the 1st and 3rd Saturdays. Consignments are taken from 9AM to 11AM or until we reach maximum capacity for the day - so come early!
You DO NOT need a military ID to shop here! You do need to have photo ID, car registration, and proof of insurance and present them at Tulley Gate to get on the post.
Our inventory includes everything from collectibles to luggage, exercise equipment to baby toys, good quality clothes for all members of the family, and wonderful furniture bargains, as well as antiques.
We look forward to seeing you.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING
PERSONAL CHECKS
Due to the increased costs associated with processing returned checks we no longer accept personal checks at the Thrift Shop. If you want to use your Thrift Shop consignment check for purchase, you may continue to do so as long as the change returned does not exceed $5.00.
You may pay for your purchases with cash or a SIGNED credit/debit card. PLEASE NOTE WE CANNOT ACCEPT UNSIGNED CREDIT OR DEBIT CARDS.
***We do not have enough staff to check the floor for specific items when we receive a phone request. Please do not call and ask if we have a certain item. We appreciate your understanding.
Your donations are tax-deductible, but you must bring your donations when the shop is open to get a tax receipt.
Please be advised that in winter, the Thrift Shop follows the Fairfax County Public Schools inclement weather policy. If schools are closed due to inclement weather, we will be closed as well. On Saturdays, if Fairfax County Public Schools cancel school related activities, we will be closed. If schools have a delayed opening, the Thrift Shop will open at 10 am.
Theft at your thrift shop
Update: We have added surveillance cameras to our donations porch.
We have been experiencing a SEVERE problem with people stealing the donations you are so generously leaving on our donations porch. We ask that whenever possible, you bring your donations to us between the hours of 8 and 3 Monday through Thursday (and the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month) to ensure we receive them.
In the past 10 years, this Thrift Shop has given over FOUR MILLION DOLLARS to the Belvoir Community in the form of consignment checks, wages to military family members, scholarships and grants.
The thieves are stealing from the soldiers and their families, not just from the Thrift Shop. If you see suspicious activity on our property, please report it to the military police. 703-805-3104. Thank you.
